This position is responsible for analyzing sales, customer, and market data; identifying trends and opportunities; developing reports and dashboards; and providing actionable recommendations to support Category Management, Sales, and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and comfortable translating complex data into clear business insights. What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include: Analyze sales, customer, category, and market data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, category reviews, and recurring analytical reports Use internal and syndicated data sources to support category and business performance analysis Apply data mining techniques to identify patterns and actionable insights Provide forecasting and analytical support to Category Managers and Sales teams Monitor industry trends, market activity, and competitor performance Partner with cross-functional teams to support promotions, business strategies, and category initiatives Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable format Maintain accurate and organized reporting tools, files, and analytical documentation Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and analytical efficiency Things you need to be able to do: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business recommendations Ability to present analytical information clearly to business partners and leadership Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field One or more years of experience in sales analysis, category management, business analytics, or a related field Experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, or other database tools Forecasting and advanced analytics experience Experience with business intelligence or reporting platforms Experience working with syndicated market or consumer data Experience in food distribution, consumer packaged goods, retail, or related industries Passion for artisan and specialty foods What we think you'll love about
