Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for producing market and financial intelligence by querying and analyzing data repositories to generate periodic reports to support business development functions and other corporate level strategies. This position provides day-to-day operational management of corporate data including data mining, forecasting, operational reporting and analytic systems, voice-of-customer collection systems and tools, and qualitative/quantitative research.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Interprets data analysis results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Produce and submit contractually required reports regarding call center and provider network performance metrics and measures. Validation of data and reports in accordance with contractual requirements. Communicate with all stakeholders to stay abreast of industry or business trends. Measure performance against strategic objectives and process requirements. Conduct data analysis for performance improvement solutions that optimize decision making, streamlines business processes and reduces operational risk. Recommends process improvements to enhance analytic methodologies. Evaluation of historical trends to project staffing and other business resource needs and identify potential performance shortfalls. Designs and develops charts, graphs, grids, scorecards, and dashboards for graphic display of various business data elements. Interaction with other departments to research, measure and evaluate business processes and to assist in problem resolution and process improvement initiatives. Converting Business requirements into Functional requirements and reflecting impact analysis. Identifying and validating high potential business opportunities for stakeholders through data analysis and trends. Developing customized reports summarizing business, financial or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients and other stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES 2-4
years' experience as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst. Ability to understand business processes and adapt. Experience in statistical and analytical methodologies. Ability to utilize information systems to collect, aggregate, analyze, and report metrics to drive quality improvement efforts. Experience conducting performance measurement, monitoring and reporting. Ability to utilized SQL for data analyses and presentation. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables. Results oriented with the ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals. Demonstrated consistent level of high performance. Strategic thinking skills. Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication. Customer focused.
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics preferred
