Job Description
PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Enterprise Data Analyst at our Tysons, Virginia or San Antonio, Texas location. The primary responsibility will be to collect, analyze and interpret data across various sources, storage systems and analytical tools, formulate data requirements for building analytical systems, collaborate with data stewards to improve health of data. Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor s degree in information systems or business management required, master s degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, requirements gathering and conducting quality assurance preferably in financial institutions. Minimum of 2 years of experience on working with Cloud based data solution ( Snowflake and AWS) Strong knowledge of and experience with data requirements, databases, reporting and data preparation tools. Strong knowledge of data management concepts including metadata, data quality, data lineage and Governance. Thorough understanding of business processes and data methodology. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with all management levels. Experience using A.I. tools preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. •Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.• Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required. Pay Transparency The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $79,400.00 - $138,506.00 This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties, and the position will perform other duties as assigned. Conduct complex data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. Develop metrics associated with core data analysis, exhibiting how better data management practices improve business value. Collaborate with business and technical partners to understand and evaluate their requirements regarding data and determine the optimal way to gather and present data. Work closely with Data Engineers & Data Modelers during the project development stage. Work closely with the Quality analysts for data validation in line with the project requirements. Analyze data from legacy systems and determine requirements to incorporate this data into Snowflake Data warehouse. Identify opportunities to analyze data with a consistent focus on increasing the ability of business team to make data-driven decisions. Document data dictionaries, relationships, mappings, and data flows and data lineage as set forth in standards. Identify and define data quality improvements and collaborate remediation with business teams. Communicate with organizational units on data issues and opportunities.
