SAP Basis Administrator

at Saks Technologies Inc. in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States Job Description Support the planning, design, and architecting of SAP systems. Install, configure, and maintain all SAP system Basis components. Perform SAP upgrades including support pack implementations. Research and provide directions for SAP software corrections including SAP OSS notes, Kernel Upgrades and SAP support packages. Perform SAP system administration providing insight needed to optimize and maintain the overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance. Meet defined SLAs by providing hands-on support and technical leadership for incidents. Continuously drive sustainable operational excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability (reduce incidents, defects and waste) and lowering total delivery costs. Work closely with other technical teams to ensure appropriate capacity planning actions and optimization of SAP services. Define and implement effective and efficient support models and processes. Ensure regulatory and legal compliance. Ensure secure operations of the SAP landscape. Maintain awareness of security related industry trends, risks and standards, identify and implement improved security features, and apply security patches. Telecommuting is available.
