Job Description

A consumer products company in New Jersey is seeking a Sr. SAP Business Data Analyst to join their team in Parsippany, focusing on eliciting business needs, documenting requirements, and partnering with analytics and data teams to support cloud data lake capabilities and data-driven solutions. About the

Monday through Friday (hybrid schedule)

Standard business
Setting:
Hybrid (at least 4 days a week onsite in Parsippany, NJ)
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data and analytics initiatives Assess current-state processes and develop future-state workflows, operating models, and business process improvements Partner with data engineering and business stakeholders to identify gaps, define solutions, and translate needs into clear functional specifications Create process flows, use cases, swim lane diagrams, and other documentation to support system and data design Support project planning, backlog management, sprint reviews, and user acceptance testing to help ensure successful delivery
Qualifications:
10+ years of IT experience 10+ years of experience in systems analysis, data analysis, and design with a proven record of large-scale project implementations 5-7 years of progressive hands-on SAP techno-functional experience with knowledge of SAP datasets such as sales, purchasing, inventory management, and Integrated Business Planning Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Experience with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint reviews, user stories, and acceptance criteria Experience with data modeling and business process re-engineering Experience creating functional specifications, process flows, AS-IS/TO-BE diagrams, use cases, and wireframes Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, planning, organization, follow-up, attention to detail, time management, meeting facilitation, and relationship management skills
Desired Skills:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud data lake environments Experience with Jira Experience in enterprise business-to-business durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing Understanding of information security awareness and web applications
