Job Description

What you'll do You'll assist the team with turning fraud-related data into clear, useful insights. The work may include routine reporting support, dashboard updates, fraud trend analysis, and data validation across internal reporting workflows. Support recurring fraud reporting and performance tracking for internal stakeholders Assist with monitoring data pipelines and validating data quality in reporting outputs Help prepare dashboards and visual summaries in Power BI or similar tools Write and refine SQL queries to gather, clean, and analyze data Document reporting logic, metric definitions, and standard operating procedures Partner with analysts to investigate fraud patterns, exceptions, and operational trends Contribute to ad hoc analysis that supports fraud strategy decision-making Present findings and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly format What you'll will learn How fraud strategy teams use data to identify risk and improve controls How to work with structured datasets in SQL and business intelligence tools How to build repeatable reporting processes and maintain documentation How to translate analytical findings into actionable business insights How to collaborate with operations, strategy, and analytics partners Basic qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, finance, or a related field Strong interest in fraud analytics, risk strategy, or financial services Foundational experience with SQL, Excel, or other analytical tools through coursework, projects, or prior internships Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment Preferred qualifications Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms Experience with Python, R, or another scripting language for analysis Understanding of databases, ETL/ELT concepts, or reporting workflows Coursework or project work involving banking, payments, fraud, or risk analytics Interest in process improvement, automation, or operational efficiency Ideal candidate profile The strongest candidates will be intellectually curious, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn how analytics supports fraud prevention. They should be proactive, organized, and able to turn questions into structured analysis with guidance from the team.
