Savage is seeking a high-performing junior or senior student for a 3-month internship within our Finance & Commercial team for Summer 2027. This internship provides hands-on exposure to financial analysis, commercial strategy, operational reporting, asset economics, customer performance metrics, and business decision support. This role is designed for students who are ready to move beyond classroom learning and contribute meaningfully to business operations. Interns will work directly with finance, commercial, and operations leaders on projects that improve visibility into business performance, customer service, profitability, and asset utilization. Why being a Savage intern is compelling: Exposure to a diverse range of industries across 200+ global locations, including agriculture, mining, trucking, oil & gas, and more Real-world experience contributing to meaningful business outcomes Direct interaction with finance, commercial, and operational leaders Opportunity to work on projects that influence strategic and operational decisions Competitive pay A clear path to potential full-time employment A company culture built on integrity, growth, and opportunity What you'll be doing: Develop and enhance customer KPI dashboards that provide visibility into operational and commercial performance Partner with finance, commercial, and operations teams to gather requirements, validate data, and translate business needs into meaningful reporting Support CRM data clean-up initiatives to improve customer, opportunity, pipeline, and activity data quality Analyze customer, job, haul, and operational profitability to identify trends, margin drivers, and opportunities for improvement Assist with equipment rebuild and asset-related analysis, including utilization reviews, cost comparisons, replacement considerations, and return-on-investment evaluations Support extended warranty, maintenance, and ownership cost analysis to help evaluate asset performance and financial value Prepare ad hoc financial, operational, and commercial analysis to support business planning, customer discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives Summarize findings and recommendations through presentations and reports for leaders and stakeholders Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and business discussions while building familiarity with Savage's operations and business model

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and a team player with a "can-do" attitude Ability to organize data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Experience collaborating in a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with Power BI, CRM systems, SQL, Power Query, or other analytics tools is a plus Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn from cross-functional leaders and operational teams
Education:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field Minimum GPA of 3.3 preferred Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: Position is largely sedentary in a climate-controlled office environment Sitting for extended periods of time, up to 6-10 hours per day, while working at a computer or desk Frequently uses hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, and operating office tools Reads printed materials and computer screens, adjusts focus, and maintains attention to detail Hears and speaks frequently to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or via virtual platforms Ability to lift, push, pull, and reach office-related supplies, files, chairs, and carts Ability to move for short periods between work areas to attend meetings or retrieve materials Exposed to standard office-related materials and substances, with low-to-moderate noise levels If applicable, during operations visits, you may be required by the site or customer to wear PPE, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, fire-resistant and/or high-visibility clothing, and hearing protection
