Job Description Kearney & Company is seeking a highly skilled SAP ERP Consultant to join our team supporting one of the Federal government's largest agencies! Duties include but are not limited to:
- Investigating and analyzing transactional errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes and identifying corrective actions.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins.
- Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, white papers).
- Documenting error resolution steps and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and process improvement.
- Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources to aid in understanding and addressing transaction errors.
- Providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques.
- Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines.
- Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates.
- Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
BA/BS/BBA
degree from an accredited college/university- 5 years of progressive, relevant experience
- Must have an active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI) to be considered for this role (requires U.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing Department of Navy general ledger postings
- Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP
- Experience with Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliations and Financial Reporting.
- Experience working with DFAS reporting policy and procedures
- Experience working with DoW's Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform
- Experience working with DoW disbursing operations
- Ability to independently research data reconciling variances
- Experience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements including OMB Circular A-136, and/or the Treasury Financial Manual
- Highly proficient skills in MS Excel
- Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and Foundry for data querying
- CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification.
