Job Description
Enterprise Data Governance Analyst Navy Federal Credit Union $78,400.00 - $123,200.00 / yr United States, Virginia, Winchester Jul 29, 2026 Overview Navy Federal Credit Union currently does not provide sponsorship for this role. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship. Support Enterprise Data Integrity Services (EDIS) in the development of information lifecycle management requirements, guidelines, and best practices for effectively managing enterprise data across the end-to-end data lifecycle. Provide guidance to stakeholders on the collection, discovery, management, access, use, security, retention, and retirement of data assets. Understand business needs and identify opportunities to mature information lifecycle management capabilities. Data Quality Focused Support Enterprise Data Integrity Services (EDIS) in the development of data quality requirements, standards, frameworks, capabilities, and best practices. Provide guidance to stakeholders on developing and implementing data quality strategies and capabilities that improve data accuracy, reliability, and integrity while ensuring fit for intended use. This role also requires program management skills as a core competency, with an emphasis on ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of an enterprise-scoped data quality tool in close collaboration with data stewards across the organization Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata, and information lifecycle management standards, policies, and best practices.
Apply program management skills to drive successful implementation and adoption of enterprise data quality tools in partnership with data stewards and key stakeholders.
Partner with business and technology teams to implement and mature data governance, data quality, metadata, and lifecycle management capabilities.
Lead and support data quality activities, including profiling, monitoring, controls, issue management, and remediation.
Develop, monitor, and analyze governance, quality, metadata, and compliance metrics to identify trends and drive improvement.
Conduct governance and data quality assessments, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance and operational effectiveness.
Provide advisory services, training, and documentation to stakeholders on data governance and enterprise data management practices.
Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and leading practices to enhance enterprise data management capabilities.
Support audit, regulatory, risk, and compliance activities, including examinations, audits, and management inquiries.
Communicate governance requirements, findings, recommendations, and program updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas: data governance, data quality, metadata management, data engineering, data warehousing, master/reference data management, information lifecycle management, or related disciplines.
Experience implementing or supporting data quality capabilities, including profiling, monitoring, issue management, controls, or enterprise data quality tools.
Knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques; familiarity with Python, R, Scala, or similar technologies preferred.
Familiarity with cloud and modern data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Spark, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of regulatory, risk, compliance, audit, or governance practices, preferably within financial services.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and technical writing skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Desired Qualifications Banking, credit union, or financial services experience.
