This Long-term Contract position will focus on translating stakeholder needs into impactful dashboards, meaningful KPI frameworks, and scalable reporting solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Power BI development, requirements discovery, and data modeling, along with the ability to guide discussions that shape effective reporting strategies.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate planning sessions with business partners to define reporting goals, dashboard priorities, and success measures. Conduct detailed requirements gathering activities and convert business needs into clear reporting specifications. Create wireframes and mockups that outline dashboard layout, user flow, and data presentation standards. Establish and refine key performance indicators to ensure metrics align with operational and strategic objectives. Build and maintain semantic data models that support reliable, scalable, and user-friendly analytics. Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that present complex information in a clear and actionable format. Apply DAX and other Power BI capabilities to create calculated measures, dynamic visualizations, and performance-focused reporting assets. Train end users and stakeholders on how to navigate dashboards, interpret insights, and communicate findings effectively. 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or dashboard development roles. Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including report creation, dashboard design, and data visualization best practices. Proven experience leading requirements gathering sessions and translating business questions into technical reporting solutions. Solid understanding of KPI development, dashboard metrics, and operational reporting frameworks. Experience creating semantic models and working with data structures that support scalable BI solutions. Proficiency with DAX for measures, calculations, and analytical logic within Power BI. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and deliver user training on reporting tools.
