at Robert Half in Evanston, Illinois, United States Job Description Description We are looking for an experienced Tableau Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves creating, enhancing, and maintaining dashboards that provide meaningful insights for stakeholders. Candidates should have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with commercial data sets, ideally within the pharma or life sciences sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards in Tableau to meet client and project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for dashboard functionality and data visualization.
- Independently query and investigate data to ensure accuracy and reliability within Tableau dashboards.
- Identify and anticipate potential data errors and address issues proactively.
- Enhance existing dashboards to improve interactivity and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL to manage and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Develop dashboards that integrate metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure dashboards align with business objectives and provide meaningful reporting capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and dashboard performance.
- Regularly review and refine dashboards to maintain their relevance and effectiveness. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Tableau development, with a proven ability to create dashboards independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience working with commercial data sets, preferably in the pharma or life sciences industry.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving data-related issues.
- Ability to gather requirements and effectively communicate with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
- Familiarity with creating interactive, operational, and reporting dashboards.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure data accuracy and dashboard reliability.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
