Senior Salesforce Engineer / Lake Forest

Job Description

$50 - $80 A leading enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer Consultant to join a growing Salesforce technology team. This consulting opportunity is based in the United States with a preference for candidates who can work onsite two days per week in Lake Forest, though remote candidates will be considered. The team leverages Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, Lightning Web Components, SalesforceDX, integrations, and AI-driven technologies to build scalable business solutions. This position offers the opportunity to drive significant Salesforce transformation initiatives while influencing architecture, development standards, and deployment strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about building enterprise-grade Salesforce applications, mentoring technical teams, and implementing modern development practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges while working with the latest Salesforce technologies. Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience across the full SDLC
  • Strong Salesforce development experience
  • Salesforce Service Cloud experience
  • Experience developing with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling and platform architecture
  • Experience with Visualforce, SOQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD deployment practices
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
  • Experience with Java or C# development
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Desired Skills & Experience
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud experience
  • SalesforceDX (SFDX) expertise
  • AWS integration experience
  • OAuth, OAuth 2.0, and JWT authentication experience
  • Experience working within microservices architectures
  • Exposure to Salesforce Einstein or AI capabilities
  • Experience working with external implementation partners

  • Design and develop enterprise Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Build scalable applications using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Salesforce platform technologies
  • Lead integration initiatives between Salesforce and external platforms
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver solutions
  • Implement development standards and platform best practices
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines utilizing SalesforceDX
  • Support production issues and participate in critical incident response efforts
  • Mentor developers and provide technical leadership
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce technologies and recommend improvements Tech Breakdown
