ServiceNow Developer ; Akumen is seeking an experienced and highly skilled ServiceNow Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level ServiceNow applications. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. You will take ownership of high-impact projects, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative ServiceNow applications.Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow applications, including custom modules, workflows, forms, and dashboards.
- Architect scalable solutions that align with organizational goals and ServiceNow best practices.
- Develop reusable components and libraries to streamline development and improve maintainability.
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 or API keys.
- Oversee testing strategies, including system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Optimize workflows, scripts, and integrations to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Plan and ServiceNow upgrades, including testing and validating customizations and integrations for compatibility with new platform versions.
- Lead migration efforts for legacy systems and ensure seamless transitions to ServiceNow.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and process workflows.
- Develop training materials and mentor junior developers to build team expertise. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and architecture.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow applications, including custom modules, workflows, forms, and dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript and Glide, with experience writing efficient and reusable client-side and server-side scripts.
- Experience working with UI Builder and other recent ServiceNow technologies.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and authentication mechanisms.
- Deep knowledge of multiple ServiceNow modules (e.g., CSM, ITSM, ITOM, PSDS, SecOps, GRC, CSM) and platform optimization techniques. Desired Qualifications
- Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist.
CMDB Fundamentals Clearance Requirement:
- Must have an Active Top Secret clearance or higher.
