Long-term opportunity on modern Azure data platforms Remote role with collaboration across data engineering and analytics teams High-impact work building pipelines and executive-ready dashboards Role Overview The AES Group INC is seeking an experienced Azure Synapse, PySpark & Power BI Developer to support data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives. You will build scalable pipelines, transform and optimize data within Azure Synapse , develop data processing workflows using PySpark , and deliver actionable insights through Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models . This role suits a hands-on engineer who balances performance, governance, and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to support large datasets and analytics workloads Develop PySpark-based data transformations and processing jobs (batch; streaming exposure is a plus) Create and maintain reusable PySpark utilities for data quality checks, validation, and standardization Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards , reports, datasets, and semantic models Translate reporting and analytics needs into efficient technical solutions and visual outcomes Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across pipelines and reporting layers Tune SQL queries, Synapse workloads, and Power BI models for performance and usability Integrate data from cloud and on-premise sources into curated analytics layers Follow data governance, security, and access best practices within Azure ecosystems Required Qualifications 4+ years in data engineering, BI development, or analytics engineering Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics Hands-on experience with PySpark for data processing and transformation Strong Power BI skills including DAX , data modeling, and report development Advanced SQL with performance tuning and optimization experience Experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable orchestration/ETL tooling Proven experience working with large-scale data environments Strong problem-solving and communication skills U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure Data Lake , Databricks , and/or Microsoft Fabric Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures Experience building semantic models and advanced DAX measures Exposure to real-time or streaming pipelines Experience working in Agile delivery environments Ready to make an impact?
