ServiceNow Developer / Administrator ClearPath Consulting Group Washington, DC Job Details Contract $80 - $90 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Dashboard development System administration ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) JavaScript Implementing APIs Scripting ServiceNow Agile software development Business requirements Analytics Stakeholder management Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Administrator to support enterprise ServiceNow implementation, configuration, integration, and platform administration efforts within a federal technology environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on ServiceNow professional who can translate business and technical requirements into scalable workflow solutions, configure core ServiceNow modules, support integrations, and maintain platform quality through disciplined documentation, testing, and release practices. The selected candidate will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery leads to build, enhance, and support ServiceNow capabilities across IT service management and related workflow areas. Duties Develop, customize, and configure ServiceNow modules to meet organizational needs, including incident management, change management, and asset management. Configure and develop ServiceNow modules including ITSM (incident, change, problem, request), CSM, and HRSD to replace legacy SSA systems Build and maintain
REST/SOAP
integrations connecting ServiceNow to SSA's internal agency systems and identity management platforms Write and review client-side scripts, business rules, UI actions, and scheduled jobs using JavaScript Support ServiceNow platform upgrades — including instance cloning, upgrade testing, and patch management — in coordination with CGI's release team Develop and maintain service catalog items, knowledge base articles, and self-service portal configurations for SSA staff and contractors Build reporting dashboards and Performance Analytics reports for government stakeholder visibility into IT service metrics Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews) and contribute to sprint velocity Maintain complete configuration documentation per federal SDLC and change management requirements Requirements 3-5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or administration experience, with at least 1 project in a federal or regulated enterprise environment ServiceNow CSA certification required; CAD or Implementation Specialist a strong differentiator Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting (business rules, client scripts, UI policies) Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via
REST/SOAP
APIs ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM process knowledge Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery in a government contractor or federal agency context Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to project start Preferred Certification ▸ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) — required▸ ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) — preferred▸ ITIL Foundation v4 — strongly preferred▸ CompTIA Security+ CE — beneficial for federal environment access▸ ServiceNow Implementation Specialist (ITSM or CSM) — a strong differentiator
