Job Description

Job Description An employer in the insurance industry is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join a fully remote team. On a daily basis, this person will partner with stakeholders across IT and business teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop new platform capabilities while supporting and enhancing existing implementations. They will collaborate closely with internal ServiceNow developers and external implementation partners, define user stories and requirements, and participate in regular planning and development sessions. Work will come through idea and demand management processes, incidents, problems, requests, and enhancement queues managed within ServiceNow. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining workflows using Flow Designer, supporting platform upgrades and ongoing modernization efforts, utilizing PPM/SPM tools to manage work, creating dashboards and reporting, automating processes, building custom catalog items, and optimizing existing workflows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a large, complex ServiceNow environment, have experience managing Demand records, and bring both technical expertise and strategic thinking to platform development. Skills and Requirements Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow development experience, including at least 2 years focused on one or more of the following areas: ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM/FSO, SPM, ESG/BCM, GRC, TPRM, App Engine Studio, Employee Center/Employee Workflow, or AI/Now Assist/AI Control Tower. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required. At least one module-specific ServiceNow certification (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist, Suite Certification, Professional Certification, or equivalent). Strong experience building and managing workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal development teams, external implementation partners, and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong UX/UI mindset with an eye for designing intuitive user experiences. Passion for platform modernization while maintaining out-of-the-box (OOTB) configurations whenever possible. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strategic thinker who can evangelize ServiceNow as an innovative enterprise platform. Strong experience creating dashboards, metrics, and reporting within ServiceNow. Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe environments. Experience with advanced scripting and development (e.g., AngularJS, JavaScript) is a plus. Experience working in banking or insurance.
