This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Responsibilities:
Kearney & Company is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our growing firm! This role will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a highly customized ServiceNow environment, including multiple custom applications.
Additional responsibilities include:
Independently assess and understand the client's existing ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, data models, workflows, business logic, integrations, security configurations, and existing customizations. Analyze existing custom applications to understand how they were designed and implemented, identify dependencies, and determine the appropriate approach for enhancements or modifications. Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify requirements, and translate those needs into effective technical solutions within ServiceNow. Design, develop, configure, and implement enhancements to custom ServiceNow applications and platform functionality based on evolving client requirements. Recommend technical approaches that balance immediate business needs with ServiceNow development best practices, maintainability, scalability, security, and upgradeability. Develop and modify ServiceNow components including custom tables and data models, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer flows, notifications, forms, and related application functionality. Troubleshoot complex issues across custom applications and platform functionality, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions with limited oversight. Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, as needed. Test and validate application and platform changes, assess potential downstream impacts, and support deployment across development, test, and production environments. Maintain technical documentation for custom applications, configurations, integrations, dependencies, and implemented solutions. Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing custom applications, simplify configurations, reduce technical debt, and improve overall platform performance and maintainability. Collaborate with client and project team members while independently managing assigned development activities from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, and implementation.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification. Minimum 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including development and support of custom applications. Bachelor's degree Demonstrated experience assessing and modifying existing custom ServiceNow applications, including understanding unfamiliar data models, business logic, workflows, security configurations, and integrations. Strong experience with server-side and client-side ServiceNow development using JavaScript. Experience designing and modifying custom tables, relationships, forms, business rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and Flow Designer/workflow functionality. Ability to independently analyze an existing ServiceNow implementation, determine how custom functionality has been designed, and safely implement enhancements or changes. Ability to obtain and maintain an Agency Suitability clearance (requires US Citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification. Experience with App Engine and ServiceNow's application development capabilities. ServiceNow specifically positions App Engine for building and extending custom workflow applications on the Now Platform. Experience inheriting and supporting ServiceNow environments with significant customization or technical debt. Experience developing or maintaining custom integrations with external systems. Experience in a consulting environment and/or supporting federal clients. Experience with additional programming and scripting languages, particularly Python, for data processing, automation, system integration, or other technical solutions outside of the ServiceNow platform. Experience developing scripts or automation to support data extraction, transformation, validation, analysis, or system-to-system data exchange. Familiarity with technologies such as SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting/programming languages that can complement ServiceNow development and support broader client technology needs.
