View More Jobs 4th Engineer Houston, TX, United States Trending Job Description Job Summary The 4th Engineer assists the Chief, 2nd, and 3rd Engineers in providing technical support and domestic and industrial services to all areas of the MODU. This position exercises effective control and efficient operation of the MODU power plant and machinery with attention to the safety of the crew, protection of the environment, and safety of the MODU. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for safety of crew, environment, and engine room as well as personal safety. Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour, and weekly safety meeting. Responsible for watch in the Engine Control Room. Assures proper power distribution on MODU. Maintains mechanical equipment when required. Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water, and other fluids safely and efficiently. Maintains order, cleanliness, and housekeeping at mechanical sites. Identifies opportunities to improve operational procedures and assists with procedure revisions and risk assessments.
Qualifications / Experience
High School Diploma is required. Graduation from a Maritime Academy is required. Drilling Industry experience is preferred. Completion of all training and certification requirements for position as described in the training matrix.
