This role is pivotal in shaping the future of sustainable construction through innovation, working directly with executive leadership to define strategy, scale systems, and deliver measurable customer value. The CTO will collaborate with global teams across engineering, product, and commercial functions to ensure solutions are both impactful and scalable. Position Responsibilities Technology & Product Leadership Define and execute the overall engineering and technology strategy across IoT hardware, SaaS software, AI/ML analytics, and integrations. Partner with Product leadership to ensure customer needs are translated into intuitive, high-impact solutions. Oversee architectural decisions that ensure modularity, scalability, and security. Build and maintain cloud and data infrastructures for large-scale, real-time insights. Team Building & Leadership Lead and expand a global engineering team spanning hardware, embedded systems, software, DevOps, and QA. Establish a culture of speed, quality, accountability, and innovation. Recruit, mentor, and develop top-tier technical talent across geographies. Execution & Delivery Drive on-time, high-quality delivery of engineering initiatives. Implement frameworks for agile execution, continuous testing, and deployment. Own key metrics related to system uptime, scalability, and security. Innovation & Strategic Impact Evaluate and apply emerging technologies such as AI/ML, digital twins, energy optimization, and edge computing. Partner with executive leadership to align technology roadmaps with long-term growth and sustainability missions. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and with strategic partners. Prerequisites Proven leadership experience scaling engineering organizations (5-100+ engineers) in SaaS, IoT, or ClimateTech/IndustrialTech sectors. Strong technical expertise across IoT, embedded systems, and cloud-native SaaS platforms. Experience building enterprise-grade, secure, and scalable solutions. Track record of cross-functional collaboration with Product and Commercial teams. Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical vision with business outcomes. Hands-on, execution-oriented leader with experience navigating high-growth environments.

Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or energy industries. Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Certified Cloud Architect (AWS, Azure, or GCP). AI/ML or Data Science certifications.
