Sentar is seeking a Information Technology Cybersecurity-CIO Task Lead in Linthicum Heights, MD!
  • This position is pending contract award.
Role Description:
Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Information Technology(XT) Cybersecurity (CS) -CIO.
XT-CS-CIO
Task Lead shall provide overall management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel, including subcontractors, to satisfy the requirements identified in this PWS. The lead shall facilitate Government and Contractor communications, use industry-best standards and proven methodologies to track and document requirements and activities to allow for continuous monitoring and evaluation by the Government, and ensure all tasks are accomplished IAW this PWS. The lead shall be responsible for the quality and efficiency of the Contractor's performance and shall assist the Government with all financial and business processes of this PWS, excluding inntly Governmental functions. It is required that the lead has the authority to make decisions for the Contractor's organization in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments; the authority to commit the prime contractor's organization; and to be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitations issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain frameworks like
NIST, ISO
27001, or CMMC to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Oversee regular cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate emerging threats.
  • Coordinate internal and external security audits to validate the effectiveness of controls
  • Coordinate tasks among different project teams and manage cross-team dependencies to prevent resource conflicts.
  • Lead crisis response efforts during major breaches, ensuring timely detection, containment, and recovery.
  • Oversee the selection and management of third-party security vendors and ensure acquisitions meet organizational security standards.
  • Drive a "security-first" culture by leading organization-wide cybersecurity education and training programs.

Experience:
  • IT leadership and accountability at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible and accountable for the effective implementation of IT management responsibilities).
  • IT strategic planning at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible for strategic planning of all IT management functions).
  • IT workforce at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible for assessing agency IT workforce needs and developing strategies and plans for meeting those needs).
  • IT budgeting at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible for the processes for all annual and multi-year IT planning, programming, and budgeting decisions).
  • IT investment management at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible for the process of managing, evaluating, and assessing how well the agency is managing its IT resources).
  • Information Security and Privacy at least 5 years of experience (e.g., CIOs are responsible for establishing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with an agency-wide information security program).
  • Digital Equity and Accessibility at least 5 years of experience (e.
