Job Description

Description The Head of Information Technology is a hands-on, business-aligned technology leader responsible for the security, reliability, and effective operation of the bank's technology environment. The role requires strong technical depth in networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, together with proven supervisory experience and the ability to lead a capable team through the bank's next stage of growth. The Head of Information Technology will preserve the department's strong operating foundation while strengthening resilience, cross-training, succession depth, and career development. The position will develop and execute a practical technology roadmap in partnership with the EVP - Senior IT/Operations Officer and business leaders. The Head of Technology provides practical technology leadership, sound technical advice, and disciplined execution while developing the internal team and effectively coordinating external providers to meet the bank's evolving needs. In addition to maintaining a secure and reliable operating environment, the Head of Information Technology will lead the practical evolution of the bank's technology capabilities, architecture, delivery practices, and staff capacity to support organizational growth and increasing operational complexity. Paid Federal Holidays Salary:
$130k - $170k / annually Requirements Community banking, financial services, or similarly regulated-industry experience. Experience supporting organizational growth, geographically distributed locations, and critical operations with limited tolerance for downtime. Experience planning cloud and hybrid environments, data-center simplification, outsourcing, and third-party integration. Familiarity with banking technology ecosystems, core and digital banking integrations, secure file transfer, payment or transaction platforms, and conversion support. Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Relevant technical, security, cloud, risk, or service-management certifications. Progressively responsible experience leading technology operations in a regulated, security-sensitive, or highly available environment. Prior formal supervisory or management experience, including responsibility for staff development, performance expectations, delegation, and team accountability. Strong, current technical expertise in enterprise networking, including LAN/WAN operations, routing, VPN connectivity, firewalls, DNS, certificates, and multi-site connectivity. Strong experience with cybersecurity operations, infrastructure, Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint administration, monitoring, backup, recovery, and incident response. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a realistic IT roadmap and to connect technical priorities with business needs, risk, cost, and organizational capacity. Demonstrated experience modernizing technology capabilities, improving scalability or resilience, and leading significant technology change without disrupting critical operations. Experience evaluating legacy constraints and determining when to modernize, simplify, integrate, standardize, outsource, or retain existing technology. Experience working with regulatory examinations or independent audits, technology risk management, vendor oversight, and business continuity or disaster recovery. Experience managing service providers, technology vendors, budgets, contracts, renewals, and escalations. Ability and willingness to work hands-on while also leading people, setting direction, and communicating with senior management and business leaders
