POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Customer Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing MCG's enterprise-wide customer strategy. This leader will own the full customer lifecycle, including implementation, adoption, value realization, retention, and expansion. The CCO unifies a broad set of functions spanning Customer Success, Clinical Education, Care Strategies, Account Management, Implementation, Technical Support, PMO, and Business Systems into a cohesive, high-performing organization aligned around measurable customer outcomes. A central mandate of the role is to elevate the "voice of the customer" into a strategic driver of company decision-making. The CCO will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Clinical leadership to ensure that customer insight directly informs product evolution, go-to-market strategy, and operational priorities. Success in this role will require a general manager mindset: connecting customer outcomes to revenue performance, product adoption, and long-term enterprise value creation.
KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Define and execute a modern, data-driven customer strategy aligned to MCG's growth objectives. Drive measurable improvements in customer adoption, engagement, retention, and expansion. Establish clear frameworks for value realization, tying MCG's solutions to clinical and operational outcomes. Build executive-level relationships with key customers, serving as a trusted strategic advisor. Strengthen alignment between Customer, Product, Sales, and Engineering to create a seamless customer experience. Implement systems and analytics to track customer health, usage, and ROI. Lead and scale a high-performing, multi-disciplinary customer organization. Embed customer insight into product development and enterprise strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of leadership experience in healthcare technology, digital health, or healthcare SaaS. Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, clinical workflows, and payer/provider dynamics. Demonstrated success leading customer-facing organizations at scale, with accountability for retention, growth, and satisfaction. Proven ability to connect customer outcomes to revenue performance and business strategy. Experience operating with executive presence and building relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders. Strong business acumen, including experience with P&L ownership, go-to-market strategy, and operational scaling. Track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in healthcare technology. Clinical background or significant experience working closely with clinical stakeholders. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to travel, including overnight, up to 40% (less if located in Seattle).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
In addition to a competitive base salary of $350,000 - $400,000, MCG Health enhances the compensation package with executive bonus, generous employer contributions to health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as employer-paid basic life and long-term disability insurance. MGC's benefit offerings include a 401(k) match, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid holidays.
