Summary We are seeking an experienced Swiss Lathe Setup Technician, Programmer, and Supervisor to join our precision machining team at Creed Monarch. In this role, you will lead a team of up to 10 employees and oversee the setup, programming, and operation of approximately 14 Swiss-style machines to manufacture high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills for supervising others, a deep understanding of precision machining, and the ability to drive both quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Set up approximately 14 Swiss and CNC lathes (specifically Tsugami B0206, B0326 and B038T) to produce precision metal components. Supervise, train, and provide guidance to a team of up to 10 employees. Program machines according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications (utilizing G-code/M-code and CAD/CAM software to optimize cycle times). Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications. Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job. Perform test runs and first-piece inspections to verify the accuracy of machine setups. Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments and offsets to ensure parts remain in tolerance and maintain quality and efficiency. Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. Troubleshoot issues that arise during production, perform routine adjustments, and execute preventative maintenance on machines. Maintain logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in accordance with safety protocols. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in Swiss and CNC lathe setup, programming, and operation, with specific expertise on Tsugami machines. Supervisor/Manager experience preferred. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of machining principles, techniques, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds. Ability to set up and program Swiss and CNC lathe machines independently. Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Attention to detail and precision. Must be able to work in noisy environments. Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, twisting, and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
