processes for a range of customers. Using the latest version of SolidWorks solid modeling, AMADA software (to generate CNC programs), and Epicor ERP orders are processed quickly and efficiently. Exact processes orders for commercial and military customers. Exact is a full service fabricator with full in-house powder coat, wet paint, Zinc, Alodine, Phosphate, silkscreen, etc. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting fabrication of custom sheet metal products to customers specifications and in accordance with
ISO 9001.
The position is in the Engineering department and there is great opportunity for advancement. Experience with solids modeling (SolidWorks preferred), CNC programming (AMADA preferred), MRP systems (Epicor preferred), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.), ISO 9001, and manufacturing process plans for sheet metal knowledge required.
Primary Duties:
Development and implementation of manufacturing process plans for new and current programs to achieve cost reduction, quality, and delivery schedule requirements utilizing modern software tools mentioned above. Requires working closely with sales, production, and purchasing. Developing SolidWorks parts and assemblies from customer supplied files or physical parts. You will work closely with sales to obtain the needed files and resolve any design intent issues. These will then be used for down steam processing to obtain CNC programs. 3D files types may be SolidWorks files but are often STEP, and various other file types which require translation and editing to obtain a good SolidWorks files. Experience with file translation is a plus. 2D like PDF, DWG, and DXF. Sketches, physical parts, and photos. Specification of production processes, work instructions, tooling requirements, Determine the most efficient production process to fabricate the parts/assemblies. This may include researching vendors for outside services and sourcing materials. Using SolidWorks files develop CNC programs for laser, punch, press brake, and milling equipment. Create shop floor work orders specifying the work center sequences and work instructions per established

procedures. Working with production determine fixturing requirements and produce SolidWorks designs and drawing to manufacture the fixturing. Resolve any issues that arise during production.
Other duties:
Assist sales and customers in design efforts to establish parts and assemblies that are more efficient to produce and/or improve quality (DFA/DFM). Aid in the preparation of materials and processes for new business quotes submitted. Assist Purchasing with proper documentation; specification, planning, and any engineering related questions or issues to maintain engineering configuration. Support and/or lead Lean activities and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively through routine reports, email and verbal correspondence with staff and customers, customer visits and required meetings.
Qualifications:
Detail oriented with skills in technical drawing; professional mastery of industry software including MS Office, solids modeling, CAD/CAM, ERP, and Adobe Acrobat. 2 or more years using solids modeling, preferably SolidWorks, and having attended formal training. Experience using solid modeling sheet metal features. Possessing one or more SolidWorks certifications is a plus (CSWA, CSWP, CSWPA-SM). Experience with 2D programs like DraftSight or AutoCAD. Experience with AMADA software a big plus (AP100US, VPSS3i BEND & VPSS3i
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
). Experience with ERP programs. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator. 1 or more years in a metals fabrication environment, sheet metal. weldments, assemblies, etc. Associate's degree in CAD technology, drafting, or other related fields a big plus. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, bills of material, and specifications. Ability to problem solve. Training available for CAD; Manufacturing Software, and Equipment. Relocation assistance is not offered. Salary determined by experience and any additional training required.
