We are seeking an experienced Variable Data Programmer with advanced expertise in Quadient Inspire to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement complex variable data and customer communication management (CCM) applications for high-impact direct marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who demonstrates professionalism, mentors team members, continuously expands their skill set, and is dedicated to delivering high-quality results on time, even in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Key Responsibilities Analyze client requirements and business rules to design, develop, test, and deploy medium- to high-complexity variable data applications using Quadient Inspire Designer. Create dynamic document templates, including variable text, images, graphics, and layouts for personalized print and digital outputs. Write and optimize scripts, rules, data transformations, and workflows within Quadient Inspire to ensure efficient data processing and production-ready files. Collaborate with Project Management and Manufacturing teams, agency partners to gather requirements and deliver customized direct marketing solutions. Perform quality assurance, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain accuracy, compliance (e.g., USPS regulations), and performance. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines while upholding the highest standards of quality. Mentor team members, share best practices, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives. Execute output files and provide supporting documentation for manufacturing and production teams. Requirements Required Qualifications Advanced experience (10+ years) as a Variable Data Programmer with expert-level proficiency in Quadient Inspire Designer (formerly GMC), including scripting, workflow automation, and complex data manipulation (e.g., XML, JSON, flat files, databases). Strong background in variable data printing (VDP) and customer communication management (CCM) for direct mail and multi-channel campaigns. Proven track record in a production environment, preferably in commercial print, direct mail, or marketing services. Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Demonstrated pattern of professionalism (clear communication, reliability), leadership (mentoring, team collaboration), skill set growth (adopting new tools/technologies), and a commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with BCC Ignite or other BCC Software for mailing automation and integration - a significant bonus. Familiarity with related tools such as Adobe Suite (InDesign, Acrobat), imposition software, or postal presort solutions. Knowledge of USPS regulations, data hygiene, and compliance standards. Work Location:
We strongly prefer candidates who can work onsite at our Wheeling, IL facility. Candidates who are within a reasonable commuting distance are expected to work onsite.
