POSITION

CAD Programmer STATUS:

Full-time Responsible for making and repairing jewelry tooling and casting models in conjunction with our in-house tool department.

DUTIES:

• Create files in various formats (stl,dxf,…etc) via desired software, scanner, or from provided artwork or finished tooling in a timely manner
• Stay up to date on the latest software technology relevant to assigned projects
• Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, conventional EDM/Wire EDM to shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
• Verify dimensions, alignment, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Expertise in the design and creation of various CAD designs both 2D and 3D using software such as RHINO, Blender, or others
• Expertise in various prototyping disciplines
• Basic knowledge in the use of lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses
• Communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Pay:

$36.00 - $42.00 per hour
