software Mechanical drawings Attention to detail Organizational skills CNC toolpath generation Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will create and optimize CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, bending, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for laser, punch, and press brake equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. Develop flat patterns and nesting layouts to maximize material utilization. Select appropriate tooling and manufacturing methods for production. Troubleshoot programming and production issues to improve efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and production teams on design-for-manufacturing improvements. Maintain accurate programming documentation and revision control. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity. Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards. Qualifications 3+ years of experience programming sheet metal fabrication equipment. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SigmaNEST, BySoft, TruTops, RADAN, or similar). Experience with CNC laser cutters, turret punches, and press brakes. Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
