VMG is seeking a Scientific Program Analyst to support the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Division of Neuroscience, Neurodegeneration (NDR) Cluster. This position provides administrative, analytical, and programmatic support for Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD) research coordination and portfolio management. The Scientific Program Analyst will support research planning, portfolio analysis, meeting coordination, reporting, budgeting, information management, and strategic communications to advance NINDS priorities in neurodegeneration research. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and programmatic support for the NINDS Neurodegeneration (NDR) research portfolio focused on Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD). Coordinate project planning, implementation, tracking, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting for assigned scientific initiatives. Organize and maintain project documentation, communications, timelines, and project management tools. Track action items, deadlines, milestones, and deliverables while providing status updates to program leadership. Respond to inquiries from investigators, program staff, and stakeholders regarding scientific and programmatic activities. Conduct literature searches using PubMed, Web of Science, and other scientific databases to support research planning and program activities. Research, analyze, interpret, and summarize scientific literature, background materials, and policy information for leadership briefings and reports. Prepare scientific presentations, graphs, charts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, spreadsheets, and briefing materials for meetings and conferences. Develop and maintain databases, tracking systems, SharePoint resources, mailing lists, and other information management tools. Coordinate logistics for scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, lectures, committee meetings, and teleconferences. Draft and proofread agendas, meeting minutes, correspondence, participant lists, reports, and other program documentation. Assist with scientific communications, outreach activities, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for Institute leadership and program stakeholders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to support program operations and strategic scientific initiatives. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Science, Biopsychology, or a related scientific discipline. Experience providing administrative and analytical support for scientific research programs. Strong scientific writing, editing, and report preparation skills. Experience conducting literature reviews and scientific database searches. Experience preparing reports, agendas, presentations, graphs, charts, and meeting materials. Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently and collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting NIH, NINDS, or other federally funded biomedical research programs. Experience supporting Alzheimer's disease, dementia, neuroscience, or neurodegeneration research initiatives. Experience coordinating scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, or stakeholder engagement activities. Experience maintaining scientific databases, project tracking systems, and research documentation. Familiarity with PubMed, Web of Science, EndNote, or other bibliographic reference management software. Experience supporting scientific communications and research portfolio management. Work Environment Full-time position (40 hours per week). Monday through Friday schedule. Position is located at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in Rockville, Maryland. Telework is available in accordance with government approval. Professional office environment supporting scientific program administration, neuroscience research coordination, and portfolio management.
