Full Job Description General Summary:
Using CAD and NC software along with knowledge of cutting tools, materials and machine capabilities, NC Programmers create tool paths ensuring high-quality, precise parts.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use supplied drawings and CAD models to generate CNC Programs (G-code) for manufacturing tools.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create, simulate, and debug toolpaths for maximum efficiency.
- Perform test runs, analyze inspections, and adjust parameters to meet tolerance specifications.
- Optimize speeds, feeds, and tool selection to reduce production time and material waste.
- Use CAD tools (CATIA/NX) to build/modify 3D CAD models and surface
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CAM software (e.g., WorkNC).
- Strong ability to interpret complex technical models/drawings and GD&T.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, engineers, and machinists to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in engineering or manufacturing or
- High school diploma, with technical certificate
- Previous experience in machining, manufacturing environments, or a related technical role
