Job Description

Tool Room Programmer Advance your engineering expertise as a tool room programmer in Plymouth, MN! Twin City Staffing is hiring an experienced programmer for a direct-hire position. In this role, you will design single-stage and progressive dies using CAD software, oversee trial runs on production presses, and manage custom tooling projects. If you are seeking up to $40.00/hr., 1st shift hours with Saturday overtime, and full corporate benefits, apply today!

Hours:

6:00 am

•2:30 pm, Monday

•Friday (Overtime available on Saturdays) Benefits of the tool room programmer:

Stable 1st shift schedule in a well-established metal fabrication facility Duties of the tool room programmer:

Design single-stage and progressive dies for stamping presses using CAD software, drafting tools, and shop math

Determine tool sequences, die stage requirements, and material limits based on product blueprints

Oversee die setups and trial runs on production presses, modifying tooling designs to optimize performance

Manage special tooling projects and communicate with clients on order updates or expediting requests Requirements of the tool room programmer:

Minimum 5+ years of tooling or engineering experience in a metal stamping and fabrication environment

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on industry experience)

Technical proficiency with AutoCAD (Version 2005+), Unigraphics, Surfcam, or Striker Post Processing software

ground in customer service, purchasing, or project management preferred
