Title:
AI/ML Programmer/Analyst Compensation, Benefits, and Employment Type Duration:
3-year contract Pay rate: $75-$95/hr. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k), 10 days of Paid Time off, and 11 paid holidays

Schedule:
M-F, standard business hours Job#: bh19482 This position supports advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning research for national security applications. The team develops AI/ML algorithms, technologies, and systems that extract and analyze information from multimedia data, including speech, text, images, and video. Work also includes machine learning applications for cybersecurity, AI assurance, adversarial machine learning, and generative and agentic AI. The role is highly hands-on and operates in a rapid research-to-prototype environment. The successful candidate will take emerging AI/ML concepts from research through experimental design, prototype development, quantitative evaluation, and iteration using realistic datasets and performance metrics. The position requires strong software development skills and the ability to translate cutting-edge research into practical, mission-focused solutions.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field. 10+ years of software design, development, and/or algorithm development experience. Strong applied AI/ML background, with experience in areas such as deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, graph analytics, cybersecurity, adversarial machine learning, or AI assurance. 5+ years of experience applying AI/ML techniques. Strong Python programming experience in Linux environments. Experience developing clean, modular, testable software. Experience with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and data-science libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and SciPy. Experience developing or deploying generative AI and agentic AI solutions. Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and GPU computing. Experience with agentic frameworks or protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP). Strong Git/GitHub experience, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews. Experience with continuous integration, reproducible development environments, software documentation, and versioned releases. Ability to take AI/ML research concepts through experimental design, prototype implementation, evaluation, and refinement. Active U.S. security clearance required.
Desired Skills:
Ability to read, evaluate, and implement techniques from current AI/ML research. Experience working with benchmark or realistic datasets and evaluating performance using metrics such as accuracy, latency, and robustness. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through novel or loosely defined technical problems. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation, demonstrations, and presentations to technical and senior stakeholders. Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with C/C++, Java, Bash, SQL, MATLAB, or related programming languages and tools.
Clearance:
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Work Location:
Hybrid, with approximately 2-3 days onsite per week. Candidates must be local by the start of the assignment. Final schedule and flexibility will be determined by the hiring manager.
Interview Process:
First-round interview via Zoom with the hiring manager. A second-round interview with additional team members is expected and is strongly preferred to be conducted onsite.
