Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Performs all design phases of software development including internal design, code, test, documentation, and training. Evaluates user request for new or modified programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs systems analysis and design for maintenance and enhancement work. Designs, codes, tests, and documents software. Investigates software problems, formulates resolution, and makes necessary software corrections. Performs multi-program or systems test and analyzes test results. Participates in planning and scheduling projects. Analyzes new or existing programs/systems to improve functionality and /or resolve business needs. Writes internal design and program specifications for new program development and/or revisions. Train users on new or changed functions. Coordinates and interfaces with technical and operations personnel for problem resolution, efficiency improvements, and implementation of new systems. Keeps abreast of technical advancements through participation in professional organizations, literature, and education opportunities. Gains understanding and develops expertise in department procedures and design methodologies and participates in improvement opportunities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. 3+ years' experience in business application development Strong object-oriented programming knowledge (Javx, C#, etc.) Ability to review and evaluate online screens and printed reports. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business personnel. Demonstrated ability to think logically and analytically.
