Job Description
CAD/CAM Programmer, CNC Mill Alecom Metal Works — [Euless, TX] 1st Shift | Full-time Join our Metal Fabrication Team We are a growing, family-owned metal fabrication shop seeking a CNC/CAM Programmer to develop G-code programs and toolpaths for CNC milling machines, including Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), used to machine structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and 4140 prehardened steel. Experience with large-format parts is a plus. Responsibilities Write and optimize G-code programs using CAD/CAM software Program toolpaths for 3-axis CNC milling machines Select cutting tools and calculate feeds and speeds Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Set up and test programs on machines, adjusting as needed Troubleshoot programs and collaborate with machine operators Maintain job files and programming documentation Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements Requirements 3+ years of CNC/CAM programming experience Proficiency in G-code Proficiency with major CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, Inventor CAM, or SolidCAM Strong 3-axis CNC milling programming knowledge Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Nice to Have 4-axis/5-axis programming experience CNC lathe or turning experience Haas or Fanuc control experience Large-format part programming experience SharePoint or similar file management experience What We Offer Very competitive pay based on experience Monday-Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime, some Saturdays Stable, year-round work.
