Laser Programmer Pay:
$24- 33/HR Turn blueprints into precision-built results. We're looking for an experienced Laser Programmer who can develop and optimize machine programs, maximize material efficiency, and support production in a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment. Responsibilities
- Create, test, and manage programs for laser cutting machines using CAM software
- Review engineering drawings, job packets, and material specifications for accuracy
- Optimize nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and reduce waste
- Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot programming issues and improve performance
- Maintain organized program libraries and revision records
- Communicate with production, engineering, and planning teams to keep projects on schedule
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures Qualifications
- Experience programming laser cutting machines in a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Proficiency with CAM software; Amada VPSS, BySoft, or similar platforms preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong computer and file management skills
- Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
