Job Description

Experience:
Mid Level Salary:
$32 - $37 per hour Job Details - What you'll be doing: Set up and run a CNC laser (primarily Trumpf equipment) Program nests and optimizes material usage using nesting software Review part files and layouts before cutting to catch potential issues Verify the first pieces and keep an eye on quality while jobs are running Sort and stage parts for the next step in fabrication Support forming operations when needed (press brake exposure is a plus) What they're looking for: Experience running fiber lasers in a fabrication or job shop environment Familiarity with nesting software Ability to read prints and work from flat patterns/DXF files Basic understanding of sheet metal (steel, stainless, aluminum) Someone comfortable switching between programming and hands-on machine work Nice to have: Experience with lasers, plasma, waterjet, or similar machinery Exposure to press brake setup or forming processes Background in a high-mix, custom fabrication shop Why this role stands out: True blend of programming + machine operation (not stuck doing one thing) Consistent workflow setup that keeps machines running (no dead time) Smaller team where you can actually see projects through vs. being a number Variety of work—custom builds alongside repeat production A bit about us: - We're a growing, make-to-order metal fabrication company supporting architectural and infrastructure projects across the U.S. Our team works closely with designers, engineers, and contractors to produce both standard and custom components, with a strong emphasis on precision, quality, and on-time delivery.
