We are looking for a CAD Drafter / Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position that combines CAD, sheet metal fabrication, CNC programming, and manufacturing support . You'll translate engineering drawings and specifications into accurate fabrication requirements, develop flat patterns and CNC programs, support tooling and fixture design, and work closely with the production team to ensure parts are manufactured accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both working with CAD and being involved on the manufacturing floor . What You'll Do Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine fabrication requirements. Identify critical dimensions, tolerances, material requirements, and finishing standards. Create accurate flat pattern layouts for sheet metal components. Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs for turret punches, press brakes, and related fabrication equipment . Review drawings for completeness, manufacturability, and potential issues before production. Select appropriate machinery, tooling, and fabrication methods. Optimize material usage to reduce scrap and improve material yield. Troubleshoot programming and production issues and provide technical support to the shop floor. Assist with first-run validation to ensure part accuracy and repeatability. Design, build, test, and implement manufacturing fixtures. Maintain documentation for programs, revisions, fixtures, and process updates. Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and decrease cycle times. Work with engineering, production, and management on new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the implementation of new equipment, technology, and automation. What We're Looking For 1+ year of experience in metal fabrication or a manufacturing environment. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings . Experience creating sheet metal flat patterns . Experience with CAM software, CNC programming, turret punch programming, or offline press brake/bending software . Hands-on programming and fabrication experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to troubleshoot issues and work through manufacturing challenges. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through. Associate degree or certificate in Mechanical Design is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
