Job Description
About the Role REHAU is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide onsite technology support for our manufacturing facility in Cullman, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, helping people, and building hands-on technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for employees experiencing day-to-day technology issues and will support users across production, operations, engineering, maintenance, and administrative functions. Success requires technical aptitude, patience, a positive attitude, and a strong customer-service mindset. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicates well with both technical and non-technical users, and takes ownership of issues through resolution. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues. Troubleshoot and resolve common issues involving computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, applications, and other workplace technology. Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and related equipment. Support new employee technology setup, including hardware preparation, system access, and basic user orientation. Respond to IT service requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner. Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the appropriate IT support system. Assist with user accounts, password resets, access requests, and basic system administration according to established security procedures. Support plant technology and connected devices as appropriate, escalating more complex infrastructure, network, or system issues to the appropriate IT resources. Maintain IT equipment inventory and assist with equipment replacement and lifecycle activities. Partner with local and regional IT teams on technology projects, upgrades, installations, and process improvements. Follow company cybersecurity, data protection, and IT policies and procedures. Maintain a professional and service-oriented approach when supporting employees at all levels of the organization. Required Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience providing IT, help desk, desktop support, technical support, or similar technology assistance. High School Diploma or GED. Working knowledge of Windows-based computers, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, and common business applications. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting principles. Ability to diagnose problems, identify potential solutions, and determine when an issue should be escalated. Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work onsite at our Cullman, Alabama manufacturing facility. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience providing IT support within a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or similar operational environment. Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, ticketing systems, or similar IT tools. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other relevant technical certification. Familiarity with basic networking concepts and enterprise IT environments. What You'll Bring A positive, approachable attitude and genuine interest in helping others.
