Primary responsibilities of this role are supporting day-to-day operations, end user support, and some server management. Responsibilities Install and configure hardware and software components End user computer imaging, configuration, and set up Provide help desk support to end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently Open and/or close trouble tickets on each call received Escalate problems and requests as necessary to ensure positive resolution Work closely with members of the IT team to troubleshoot network and systems issues, as well as respond to potential cyber threats Create, modify, and/or delete user and email accounts Perform routine maintenance on various IT equipment Mobile device support - tablets, smartphones, etc. Cabling installation and termination Maintain an increasing level of proficiency in hardware, software, networking and other technologies supported by the IT department Other duties, as assigned Occasional travel to branch and project offices Occasional after hours and weekend work Document and follow procedures and user guides Ability to work both independently and in a team environment as needed Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1 - 3 years of experience in similar role Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Microsoft Cloud technology experience is a plus Experience troubleshooting systems Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills About Thompson Holdings Thompson Holdings, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned parent company headquartered in Mobile, Alabama.
