Job Description

Information Technology Services has an exciting career opportunity as a Project Manager/ITS Specialist V to join our dynamic team! Yavapai Our ideal candidate will have experience in planning, coordinating and managing a variety of complex projects through their entire project lifecycle, including identifying users' needs, gathering detailed requirements and analyzing project feasibility. This is an onsite position with no remote work option. Coordinates the daily tasks of the assigned unit providing technical oversite to ensure the teams' timely responsiveness. Ensures systems and/or resource availability. Resolves highly technical issues impacting server and backend application functionality, security, and the user experience. Contributes to the development of goals, objectives, procedures, and priorities for the unit. Participates in the hiring, training, monitoring and performance evaluation of the work of junior staff, providing regular updates to management. Develops procedures and provides training for server and Active Directory management. Ensures enterprise system availability to include all centralized and internet-based resources. Responds to service calls, provides level III technical expertise, and ensures timely resolution of customer reported problems. Participates in single and multi-department projects within the ITS project portfolio while observing established ITS project management procedures. Creates project deliverables as specified for the project such as requirements document, statement of work, test plans, and diagrams. Communicates and collaborates with county-wide IT stakeholders to define requirements and translates such business needs into technical solutions; provides recommendations for software systems. Designs, develops, tests, and maintains enterprise systems. Prepares test plans for assigned systems and develops test data and test procedures for those systems. Prepares and maintains customer and internal documentation. Performs varied systems analysis, design, and implementation work. Assists in developing departmental standards and procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or closely related field.
Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in information technology or related field. An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
