Job Description

Job Overview The Technology Specialist job is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, user devices, and network infrastructure. This position plays a key role in desktop support, basic network troubleshooting, and enforcing endpoint security standards—all within a regulated and secure financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and in-person. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners. Support users with issues related to Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and core credit union software. Perform basic network troubleshooting (connectivity, cabling, VPN, DHCP/DNS). Monitor network tools and escalate performance issues to senior staff as needed. Assist with installation and configuration of network devices (switches, firewalls, wireless access points). Enforce endpoint security policies including antivirus, encryption, and device restrictions. Manage user accounts, password resets, and permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Admin tools. Monitor system jobs for completion and troubleshoot failures. Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and incident tracking logs. Participate in patch management, system updates, and IT security tasks. Support audit and compliance initiatives related to system access, logs, and controls. Assist departments and staff with program or project implementation as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a help desk, IT support, or junior networking role. Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) Familiarity with IT security fundamentals (MFA, antivirus, phishing prevention). Hands-on experience with Windows desktop OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, documentation, and organization. Willingness to learn and adapt in a compliance-focused environment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Networking preferred. Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+) are a plus.

Pay:
$3,300.00 - $6,600.00 per month
