- A CompTIA A+ certification if the applicant does not hold a degree in Computer Science.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, account-access, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Basic knowledge of Windows desktop environments, Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, and remote support practices.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN concepts.
- Ability to use ticketing systems and clearly document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Ability to follow established procedures, comply with company security policies, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Oakland, California, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Qualifications
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in an IT help desk, desktop support, customer support, or technical support role is preferred.
- Additional professional certifications, such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft 365 certifications, are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Positive, patient, empathetic, and service-oriented approach to assisting users.
- Ability to manage multiple support requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
