Summary/ Objective:
The Desktop Support Technician supports and maintains organizational computer systems, desktops, software, and peripherals. Includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware, software, and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The candidate will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, email, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required. Must have strong customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Essential Functions:
Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware. Excellent knowledge of PC software, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Electronic Medical Records. Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience. Extensive equipment support experience. Working with Cisco VOIP phone system. Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards. Ability to work with network cabling, jacks, and peripherals. Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories. May develop training protocols, training materials, and instructional materials. Maintains inventory and keeps documentation of all break/fixes. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
