IT Help Desk Technician III This is a contract opportunity in Menlo Park, CA About the Position Are you a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving problems, helping users, and working with a wide range of technologies? We're seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to provide exceptional on-site technical support to employees while serving as a trusted resource for hardware, software, networking, and account-related issues. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you'll combine your technical expertise with strong customer service skills to keep employees productive and business operations running smoothly.

100% On-Site (Monday-Friday)
Schedule:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM What You'll Do Provide in-person technical support for hardware, software, mobile devices, and user account issues. Troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of IT problems across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android environments. Diagnose technical issues, perform remote troubleshooting, and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional teams when escalation is required. Install software, test hardware, and verify system functionality. Create and maintain detailed support tickets, documenting issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions. Track and manage support requests through a ticketing system while ensuring accurate and timely updates. Deliver outstanding customer support by communicating technical information in a clear and user-friendly manner. Support networking, telecommunications, security, and account management-related requests as needed. Assist in identifying recurring issues and contribute to continuous process improvements. Required Experience 5-7 years of diverse IT support experience. Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems and technologies.
Experience supporting:
Windows macOS Linux iOS Android General knowledge of networking, telecommunications, account management, and security concepts. Ability to quickly assess problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Key Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and documentation practices. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
