Role Overview We are seeking a highly capable, discreet, and versatile Senior IT Operations Specialist to serve as the sole technology lead for a private Family Office. This role demands a "Team of One" who can seamlessly pivot between strategic oversight and hands-on troubleshooting. You will be the single point of contact for a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders, providing white-glove support to the Principals and their family, while ensuring operational continuity for the family office, estate properties, aviation, and philanthropic teams. Key Responsibilities Frontline Support:
Deliver first and second-level support for end-users, resolving hardware, software and network issues quickly and effectively. Provide key support coverage for office, aviation, estate and philanthropy staff.
Executive & Family Concierge Support:
Provide 24/7 priority support to Principals, resolving issues immediately with minimal disruption to their schedules. Manage personal technology and accounts for the family (smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearables, subscriptions), ensuring synchronization, ease of use, and privacy. Translate complex technical issues into clear, non-technical executive summaries.
System Maintenance and Administration:
Perform regular maintenance, updates and security checks on IT systems. Manage outsourced Azure provider relationship. Administer cloud data storage, including designing storage infrastructure and updating permissions.
Remote Connectivity:
Maintain robust internet connectivity in offices and remote locations, utilizing technologies such as Starlink and VPN.
Smart Home/AV Systems:
Interact with outsourced providers and estate staff in a technical capacity to oversee and troubleshoot automation systems and AV systems (Savant) across main residences and estate properties to ensure seamless integration of high-end systems with computer networks and equipment.
Physical Security Integration:
Manage the technical backend of security systems (IP cameras, smart gates, access control) in close coordination with the physical security team.
Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection:
Implement and manage strict access controls, multi-factor authentication and enterprise-grade password management across all staff levels. Deploy and monitor endpoint protection and secure email gateways to prevent phishing and ransomware attacks.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of hands-on IT support experience, with prior experience as a Global Admin strongly preferred. Proven ability to work independently, identifying problems before they become emergencies.
Technical Expertise:
Expert proficiency in macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android environments, networking protocols and widely used business applications and cloud services such as MS Office, Office 365, Box and Teams.
Certifications:
Industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication. You must be comfortable interacting in person with both office staff and C-suite executives.
High Discretion:
Demonstrated history of handling highly confidential data with absolute integrity.
Service Mindset:
You view IT as a service function; no task is too small if it helps the operation run smoothly.
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
