This role provides hands-on technical support for employees, manufacturing operations, and business systems while helping ensure the reliability, security, and availability of company technology resources. The IT Support Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for technical support requests, user account administration, computer deployment, software troubleshooting, network connectivity, and IT documentation. This individual partners closely with employees, department managers, vendors, and leadership to resolve technical issues, support business operations, and continuously improve the company's IT environment.
Essential responsibilities include:
Provide timely technical support for hardware, software, network, printer, phone, and user-access issues Troubleshoot and resolve support requests submitted by employees through the company's IT ticketing system Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals Administer user accounts, security groups, permissions, email, and licenses within Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, equipment preparation, access provisioning, and access removal Maintain and support Windows workstations, business applications, endpoint security software, and manufacturing-related computer systems Assist with the administration and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN connections, and internet connectivity Apply operating system updates, application patches, firmware updates, and security configurations in accordance with company policies Monitor endpoint health, security alerts, system performance, backups, and other technology services Escalate security incidents, service outages, and complex technical problems to the appropriate internal or external resources Support cybersecurity initiatives, including multifactor authentication, endpoint protection, phishing prevention, access controls, and security awareness Maintain accurate IT documentation, including asset records, system configurations, procedures, network information, software licenses, and troubleshooting guides Track company-owned computers, mobile devices, software, and other IT assets throughout their lifecycle Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers for equipment purchases, repairs, licensing, warranty support, and technical escalations Assist with conference room technology, video conferencing systems, and other shared technology resources Identify recurring technical problems and recommend improvements that reduce downtime and improve the employee support experience Follow established data protection, change management, access control, and information security procedures Support IT projects such as system implementations, hardware refreshes, office moves, infrastructure upgrades, and security improvements Perform other IT-related duties as assigned based on business and operational needs Requirements Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and common business applications Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, software, and network connectivity Familiarity with user account administration, permissions, multifactor authentication, endpoint security, and access management Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, and firewalls Experience with IT ticketing systems, asset management, technical documentation, and remote-support tools Ability to diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and communicate solutions clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge Strong organizational, communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and respond appropriately to urgent or business-critical issues Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with employees, vendors, management, and other departments Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support for critical outages, system maintenance, or scheduled projects Ability to lift and move computers, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment as needed Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or equivalent are a plus. Experience supporting a manufacturing environment, ERP systems, engineering applications, or cybersecurity tools is also preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
