PC assembler paying 20 an hour - temp to hire Job Description The Production Technician assembles and tests single board computers, embedded PCs, panel PCs, industrial chassis, workstations, and data acquisition products in a manufacturing environment. This role integrates industrial PC components, follows established quality management procedures, and ensures that all assembled systems meet required specifications and performance standards. Responsibilities Perform assembly and testing of single board computers, embedded PCs, panel PCs, industrial chassis, workstations, and data acquisition products as assigned by the production supervisor. Install and integrate components such as PCBs, CPUs, memory, cables, and related hardware into industrial computer and embedded systems. Conduct system testing to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of assembled units. Inspect boards, parts, and accessories for defects and conformance with specifications, and promptly alert quality assurance personnel when necessary. Confer with quality assurance personnel to determine proper and efficient methods for integrating industrial PC components. Collaborate with production support technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to proper operation of equipment under test. Follow detailed work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and documentation requirements for assembly and testing activities. Document test results, configurations, and any issues identified for quality control and traceability. Prepare finished units for packaging and shipment, ensuring all quality and configuration requirements are met. Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Adhere strictly to the quality management system and established production procedures. Follow the person practices and cleanroom protocols to support product quality and reliability. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience with production, general labor, and assembly work. Ability to assemble industrial computers and embedded systems, including installation of PCBs, CPUs, memory, and cables. Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and installation tasks. Experience working on assembly lines and in general production settings. Ability to perform inspection and quality checks on parts, boards, and finished units. Skill in following detailed work instructions and bills of materials (BOMs). Capability to perform system testing and verify functionality of computer hardware. Attention to detail when examining parts and accessories for conformance with specifications. Ability to document test results and configurations accurately for quality control. Understanding of and adherence to a quality management system. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with computer assembly, including industrial computers and embedded systems. Familiarity with packaging, packing, and preparing finished units for shipment. Exposure to cleanroom environments and related protocols. Comfort working with production support and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues. Ability to maintain an organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of City of Industry, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
