Job Description

Carmody is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join the Firm, to be based in its Stamford office. This position provides end-user technical support to attorneys and staff, covering hardware, software, network connectivity, and telephone services. You'll work within multiple firm databases handling confidential data, and serve as a first point of contact for day-to-day technology needs. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to build hands-on experience in a professional services environment, with a path to grow into more senior IT roles. What You'll Do:
Provide technical support to attorneys and staff in person, by phone, email and through the Firm's help desk ticketing system Troubleshoot laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment Support audio and visual technology needs for meetings, presentations, conferences and events Document and maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in ticketing system Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed Deliver responsive, professional support with a client-service mindset
Skill Requirements:
1-3 years of relevant help desk, technical support, or customer service experience Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware, printers, and mobile devices Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, network connectivity troubleshooting) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows environments Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines Strong attention to detail and follow-through Excellent verbal and written communication skills Reliable transportation for regular travel to Greenwich and occasional travel to other firm offices
