Job description The Senior IT Specialist plays a critical role within a large IT team of over 16 members, focusing on the management and enhancement of enterprise-level IT infrastructure. This role involves leading system upgrades, network security improvements, and infrastructure scaling initiatives while providing expert support and training to users. The specialist collaborates across departments to ensure seamless technology operations and occasional travel may be required to support projects or stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage and maintain network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security Administer and optimize systems for performance and uptime Oversee security management to protect organizational assets Provide technical support and training to end-users and staff Coordinate software deployment and update strategies Monitor system and network performance, identifying and resolving issues Lead system upgrades, migrations, and network security enhancement projects Collaborate across departments to align IT initiatives with business objectives Preferred Qualifications 7+ years in IT support and administration Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field Proficient in network configuration and Windows Server environments Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices Effective troubleshooting and communication skills Experience in project management within IT settings
