JOB SUMMARY
The Information Technology Specialist supports the daily operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's technology environment. This position ensures staff receive timely technical assistance; systems remain functional and secure, and ongoing technology projects progress smoothly. The specialist will work closely with the TST team to support infrastructure, end-user devices, software applications, data systems, and technology initiatives across the organization. This role is critical to strengthening service delivery, enhancing digital capabilities, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization's mission through reliable technology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Technical Support & User Assistance Provide day-to-day support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues related to our core applications. Monitor and respond to support tickets promptly and professionally. Assist with device setup, configuration, imaging, and deployment. Systems & Infrastructure Support Help maintain servers, networks, cloud services, mobile devices, and security systems. Perform routine system checks, patching, updates, and preventative maintenance. Support backup operations, data integrity, and recovery processes. Technology Improvement Projects Assist with technology upgrades, new system implementations, migrations, and modernization initiatives. Conduct testing, documentation, and follow-up related to project deliverables. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth rollouts and departmental training.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support:
enforcement of cybersecurity policies, password standards, MFA, and identity management. Monitor and escalate security alerts or unusual activity. Ensure proper configurations aligned with compliance requirements and best practices.
Website, Software, and Application Support:
Assist with updating content, troubleshooting user access, and supporting system functionality. Help departments adopt new applications, tools, and automation.
Inventory & Asset Management :
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software licenses, and device assignments. Assist with procurement, asset lifecycle management, and vendor coordination.
Documentation & Training:
• Create guides, knowledge articles, and documentation for systems and processes. Provide basic training to staff on new technologies or updated systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical services preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation are required. One or more of the following certifications is preferred: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work also involves occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; talking or hearing. Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Pay:
$66,587.00 - $80,000.00 per year
