The Center is comprised of two outpatient offices and two residential sites. Douglas Gardens CMHC has an immediate opening for an onsite IT and Application Support Specialist . This individual will provide technical support to all departments and locations and will serve as the first point of contact for staff relating to IT issues/support. The IT and Application Support Specialist will install and maintain computer, network, and peripherals equipment. This individual will provide first-line support and training to all users on all center wide applications, hardware, software and technology related equipment supported by IT department, including printers, fax, phone systems, audio-visual equipment and other. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer/CIO and supports in managing the Center's Information System and technology.
Responsibilities:
Manages and Supports Center's EHR application Avatar NX and any other software used at the center. Triages support cases. Manages updates installation and deployment of new components. This includes interaction with application vendors. Arranges training and assists users with Microsoft Office products and other software. Triages users support calls based upon priority. Communicate effectively with end-users to understand and resolve technical issues. Unsolved or complex issues are raised to the CIO. Maintain call log with issues. Performs problem diagnosis, troubleshoots computer hardware and software problems. Troubleshoots printer, fax, phone systems and other technology related equipment. Implements new technology and system upgrades as the need arises. Sets up workstations, hardware and software. Keeps hardware and software inventory. Coordinate with vendors servicing IT related equipment, software and other technology related tasks. In conjunction with CIO, ensures an efficient LAN/WAN connectivity for all network users. Install and securely mount IT infrastructure, including network racks, servers, and related hardware, ensuring efficient and organized setups. In conjunction with CIO, maintains a network security system helping in the protection and integrity of data. Observes HIPAA regulations as required by the centers policies. Provides custom configurations/setups for AV presentations as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by CIO.
Requirements:
Preferred, but not required, an Associate of Arts degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in the Information Technology field. 2 years of past experience in computer help desk like position. Ability to travel between worksites to provide IT related support and assistance. Applicant selected will be subject to passing level 2-background screening and drug screening. Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
